दादी माँ के स्वभाव का सेवा, संरक्षण, परोपकारी व सरल स्वभाव आदि का पक्ष हमें सबसे अच्छा लगता है। दादी माँ मुँह से भले कड़वी लगती थी परन्तु घर के सदस्यों तथा दूसरों की आर्थिक मदद के लिए हर समय तैयार रहती थी। रामी चाची का कर्ज माफ़ कर उसे नकद रूपए भी दिए ताकि उसकी बेटी का विवाह निर्विघ्न संपन्न हो जाए। इन्हीं के कारण ही वे दूसरों का मन जीतने में सदा सफल रहीं।

ACID: Taste of acid is sour. There are many substances that contain acid and so taste sour. For example – lemon, curd, pickles, orange juice, vinegar, etc.
BASE: Taste of base is bitter. Substances that contain base taste bitter. For example; soap or soap solution, baking soda, washing soda, etc.
INDICATOR: It is not always possible to know the acidic or basic nature of substances by tasting them. Tasting a substance in laboratory is not also advisable because it may be harmful.
Litmus: Litmus is extracted from Lichens. Lichen is a composite organism. Lichens consist of fungi and algae living in symbiotic relationship.

स्वर संधि की परिभाषा
दो स्वरों के आपस में मिलने से जो विकार या परिवर्तन होता है, उसे स्वर संधि कहते हैं, जैसे-देव + इंद्र = देवेंद्र। अर्थात इसमें दो स्वर ‘अ’ और ‘इ’ आस-पास हैं तथा इनके मेल से (अ + इ) ‘ए’ बन जाता है । इस प्रकार दो स्वर-ध्वनियों के मेल से एक अलग स्वर बन गया। इसी विकार को स्वर संधि कहते हैं। स्वर संधि को अच् संधि भी कहते हैं।
स्वर संधि के प्रकार (संस्कृत में) संस्कृत व्याकरण में आठ प्रकार की स्वर संधि का अध्ययन किया जाता है। जबकि हिन्दी व्याकरण में केवल पाँच प्रकार की संधि (दीर्घ संधि, गुण संधि, वृद्धि संधि, यण् संधि, अयादि संधि) का अध्ययन किया जाता है। संस्कृत व्याकरण की आठ प्रकार की संधि इस प्रकार हैं - दीर्घ संधि - अक: सवर्णे दीर्घ: गुण संधि - आद्गुण: वृद्धि संधि - ब्रध्दिरेचि यण् संधि - इकोऽयणचि अयादि संधि - एचोऽयवायाव: पूर्वरूप संधि - एडः पदान्तादति पररूप संधि - एडि पररूपम् प्रकृति भाव संधि - ईदूद्विवचनम् प्रग्रह्यम् संस्कृत में संधि के इतने व्यापक नियम हैं कि सारा का सारा वाक्य संधि करके एक शब्द स्वरुप में लिखा जा सकता है। उदाहरण - "ततस्तमुपकारकमाचार्यमालोक्येश्वरभावनायाह।" अर्थात् – ततः तम् उपकारकम् आचार्यम् आलोक्य ईश्वर-भावनया आह।

When the soil is too acidic, it is treated with bases like quick lime (calcium oxide ) or slaked lime calcium hydroxide . If the soil is basic, organic matter is added to it. Organic matter releases acids which neutralises the basic nature of the soil.
