E during this moment the Caterpillar secret for fibre made of a protein which on exposure to air hardens and becomes the Silk fibre. 3) Pupa stage (Resting Stage) A the Caterpillar completely covers itself by Silk fibres and form cocoon and for the development of the worm to moth continues inside the cocoon. B Racks and twigs are provided in the tray to get the cocoons attached. C Pupa stage lasts for 29-30 days. 4) Adult stage The pupa gets transformed into the moth.

Rearing of Silkworm: In the beginning, the female silk moth lays hundreds of eggs. These eggs are stored over a clean paper or piece of cloth. These eggs are then sold to the silkworm farmers. The farmers then keep the eggs under the accurate temperature and humidity at a clean place. They are warmed to the most appropriate temperature to hatch eggs to produce larvae or caterpillar. This process is done when the mulberry trees have fresh crop of leaves. The caterpillar eats this mulberry leaves day and night and it grows in size.

Bamboo trays are used to keep these caterpillars and some freshly chopped mulberry leaves are kept in the tray. After 30-40 days approximately the caterpillars stop eating the leaves and then it moves inside the small chambers in the bamboo trays to spin cocoons. These are produce by the secretion of liquid protein from their salivary glands. Small racks are given in the trays so that the cocoons get attached to those racks. Silk moths are developed inside the cocoons.

Processing Silk from Cocoons: These cocoons are used to obtain silk threads. When the cocoons are exposed to the sun or steam or boiled, the silk fib gets separated. This process of getting silk threads from the cocoons to use it as a silk fabric is known as reeling of the silk. Reeling of the silk is carried out by special machines. These machines unwind the fibers of silk or threads from the cocoon. Silk fibers are then converted into silk threads to make different kinds of silk fabrics like silk sarees, etc. by the weavers.

Motion is. The change

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 5 months ago

Motion is the process of something moving or changing place, or even just changing position. There are a lot of factors involved every time something moves. There are fewer factors involved if an object moves at the same speed in a straight line. Example - pushing a block is an example of linear motion, opening a door is an example of rotation, rotating stone with attached thread is an example of a circular motion.

Accounts written by scholars about kingdoms, their courtiers and living conditions of common people were called court chronicles.

  1. Chronicles were basically detailed and registered court accounts in continuous manner through a particular order of time. The form of writing was usually prose or verse but without any literary ambition.
  2. They provide information related to the past – events, historical, political and cultural attitudes of their writers and audiences.
  3. They were more like data-based as they were fact related and not stories with fancy words. They were required to keep accurate data of mundane statistics.
  4. They were not written in praise or against rulers and were therefore more reliable historical sources than travelers stories.
  5. Example - One of the most famous examples is the Old English Anglo-Saxon Chronicle. This chronicle provides the basis for the knowledge of Anglo-Saxon history during the late 9th century at the court of King Alfred the Great.

A small amount makes food taste bright and fresh, while too much tastes unpleasantly sour. Most vinegars don't just taste sour, though. The acid in vinegar is primarily acetic acid, which makes up 4 to 7 percent of table vinegars.

In Saki's "The Seven Cream Jugs," Wilfred Pigeoncote has recently been named as heir to the title of baron and a large sum of money. As a result, Mrs. Peter Pigeoncote comments that upon his recent improvements, Wilfred will most likely not pay a visit to her and her husband. Mr. Pigeoncote believes this to be true because in the past he and his wife have not done much in extending an invitation to Wilfred. Their reason for not encouraging Wilfred to visit is because they are aware that he has an "unpleasant reputation" of being a kleptomaniac. Mr. and Mrs. Pigeoncote are celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary, which means it is customary for them to receive gifts of silver. With many valuable pieces of silver currently in the house, a visit from a kleptomaniac could be problematic. As it turns out, they do receive a visit from Wilfred. However, it is not the Wilfred known as the "Snatcher."
