The authors of tawarikh were learned men: secretaries, administrators, poets and courtiers. They recounted events and advised rulers on governance, emphasising the importance of just rule. They were written in Persian, the administrative language of the Sultans. The authors of tawarikh did not provide information about ordinary men and women because:
- The authors of tawarikh lived in cities (mainly Delhi) and hardly ever in villages.
- They often wrote their histories for Sultans in the hope of rich rewards.
- These authors advised rulers on the basis of birthright and gender distinctions. Their ideas were not shared by everybody.

In a positional numeral system, the radix or base is the number of unique digits, including the digit zero, used to represent numbers. For example, for the decimal/denary system (the most common system in use today) the radix (base number) is ten, because it uses the ten digits from 0 through 9. The positional decimal system is presently universally used in human writing. The base 1000 is also used (albeit not universally), by grouping the digits and considering a sequence of three decimal digits as a single digit.

The retouching tools in Adobe Photoshop are: Clone Stamp, Pattern Stamp, Healing Brush, Patch and Color Replacement. This tool repairs a selected area with pixels that can be taken from another area or a pattern. There is quite a similarity between the Healing Brush Tool and the the Patch Tool since it also matches the texture, lighting, and shading of the sampled pixels to the source pixels.
