पक्षी के पास पिंजरे के अंदर वे सारी सुख सुविधाएँ है जो एक सुखी जीवन जीने के लिए आवश्यक होती हैं, परन्तु हर तरह की सुख-सुविधाएँ पाकर भी पक्षी पिंजरे में बंद नहीं रहना चाहते क्योंकि उन्हें बंधन नहीं अपितु स्वतंत्रता पसंद है। वे तो खुले आकाश में ऊँची उड़ान भरना, बहता जल पीना, कड़वी निबौरियाँ खाना ही पसंद करते हैं।
