- The kingdom was divided into garhs.
- Each garh was controlled by a particular Gond clan.
- This was further divided into units of 84 villages called chaurasi.
- The chaurasi was subdivided into barhots which were made up of 12 villages each.

The human settlement in cold region must be properly insulated so that the outside cold winds cannot enter the house also the air inside must be stored and not let go outside. In hot regions usually the house is opened and surrounded so that air may pass freely through entire room .
