Jacobins were the french people during French revolution who belonged to the less prosperous section of the french society,which included small shopkeepers,servants and daily wage workers. Their role was:- 1)They formed convention 2)In 1792,they planned an insurrection for people in Paris. 3)They stormed the Place of the Tuileris,massacred the King's guard and held the king hostage for several hours. 4)Elections were held for man of 21 years of above regardless of wealth got the right to vote. 5) On 21st september 1792 Convention abolished the monarchy and declared France a republic.
