Each step of food chain is known as trophic level Example :🌱 →🦗→🐸→🐍→🦅 Grass →grasshopper →frog→snake→eagle In above example Grass is producer and grasshopper 🦗 is at second trophic level

The various steps in a food chain at which the transfer of food or energy takes place are called trophic levels. Grass -> Deer -> Lion Grass - Trophic level 1 Deer - Trophic level 2 Lion - Trophic level 3
