NaOH is not kept in Aluminium container because it will react with Aluminum (Al) to give Sodium Aluminate(NaAlO2) and Hydrogen gas (H2) Reaction involved 2NaOH(Aq)+ 2Al(s)+2H2O(l)----->2NaAlO2(Aq)+3H2(g).
