Due to civil disobedience movement,the British government felt panic for that . To overcome the problem,and due to which they took a hard and fast decision, as described as below:- 1).They,the Britishers imposed a high tax on salt and passed a law in which Indians are not allowed to produce or sell the salt. 2).As soon as Gandhi know the fact,he decided to go Ahmedabad to dandi.(as a revolution). 3). starting from sabarmati ashram in Ahmedabad to dandi.He had to travel 240miles ( 10 miles/ day).so, he took 24 days to travel and reached on 6th April,1930.Along with his 1000 of people which they joined in the course of time.
