SMS stands for Short Message Service and is commonly referred to as a "text message". With an SMS, you can send a message upto 160 characters to another mobile device. Most cell phones support this type of text messaging. Multimedia messaging service(MMS) is a standard way to send messages that include multimedia content to abd from a mobile phone over a cellular network.
