As the home of Ranjeet was close to the school so they were coming by walking. Rita asked her father, "Daddy how old are you?" Ranjeet said, "At present, sum of ages of both of us is 55 years and after 10 years my age will be double of you."

If we let the present age of rita father's is x and rita's age is y.Then x+y=55 x+10=2(y+10) x+10=2y+20 x-2y=10 By elimination method 3y=45 y=15 x+15=55 x=40
