Given : in triangle ABC , right angle at B , AB=24cm and BC=7cm To find: sinA and cos A Now by Pythagoras AC² =AB²+BC² AC² =(24)²+(7)² AC = √576+49 AC =√625 AC =√(25)² AC =25cm We have AC =25 Now SinA=perpendicular/ hypothesis SinA = BC/AC therefore, SinA= 7/25 Now Similarly, CosA =base/ hypothesis CosA = AB/AC CosA = 24/25 Hence, sinA =7/25 CosA =24/25
