3x-5y=4 …(i) 9x-2y=7 …(ii) 9x=7+2y x=7+2y/ …(iii) Now substituting the value of x in equation(i), 3x-5y=4 3(7+2y/9)-5y=4 7+2y/3-5y=4 7+2y-15y/3=4 7-13y=12 -13y=12-7 -13y=5 y=-5/13 Now put the value of y in Equation(ii) 9x=7+2y 9x=7+2(-5/13) 9x=7-10/13 9x=81/13 x=9/13 the value of y=-5/13 and the value of x=9/13
