total weight of solution(NaOH+H20) = 40+54 = 94 mole = mass/molar mass the molar mass of Na =40; O =16;H=1 mole fraction = mole of substance to be founded/mole fraction of solution now, mole fraction of NaOH = moles of NaOH/ (Mole of NaOH+Mole of H2O) = (40/40)/[(40/40)+(54/1*2+16*1)] = 1/[1+3] = 1/4 so, mole fraction of NaOH in the solution = 1/4 mole fraction ( solute+solvent) = 1 therefore mole fraction of H2O = 1-(1/4) mole fraction of H2O=3/4
