The given reaction is an example of a double displacement reaction. Sodium(Na) is more reactive than iron (Fe) so it displaces Fe and forms a solution of Sodium sulphate and green coloured precipitate of Ferrous hydroxide. FeSO4 (aq)+ 2NaOH(aq)→ Fe(OH)2 (s) + Na2SO4 (aq)
