Perimeter of wire =4×side =4×10 =40cm Therefore, perimeter of wire=40cm If same length of wire use to make rectangle Then, perimeter of rectangle=perimeter of square Perimeter of rectangle=40 cm Length = 12cm Let breadth be z Perimeter of rectangle=40cm 2(length+breadth)=40cm 2(12+z)=40cm 12+z=40/2 12+z=20 z=20-12 z=8cm Hence,breadth of rectangle=8 cm Area of square =side² Area of square=10² Area of square=100cm² Area of rectangle=l ×b Area of rectangle=12 × 8 Area of rectangle=96cm² Thus,square enclosed more area
