Small intestine is the largest intestine in the body which is 7.5 m long. It is shaped in finger like projections named as 'villi'. Most of the food is digested in small intestine.

Saumyajit Das 3 years ago

The small intestine contains finger like projections called villi. These villis provides a large surface area for absorption. Thus, the digested food gets absorbed as much as possible and the rest are sent to the large intestine for further absorption.
