If the image is virtual then : Hi -V -- = -- Ho U => -v = (-30 )* 4 => v = 120 Then, 1/f = 1/v +1/u 1/f = 1/120 + 1/30 => 1 - 3 ----- 120 => 1/40 => f = 40 cm
