BLACK SOIL: • Black soil is black in colour. So it is known as Black soil • Black soil is ideal for growing cotton • They are rich in calcium carbonate, magnesium, potash and lime RED SOIL: • Red soil develop on crystalline and igneous rocks • They develop a reddish colour due to diffusion of iron in crystalline and metamorphic rocks • They are found in Chattisgarh, odisha and parts of western ghats
