Since we know that rational number between two rational numbers is obtained by 12[a+b]
A rational number lying between -2 and -3 is 12[(-2) + (-3)],
i.e.,−52
Now, a rational number lying between -2 and−52is
12[(−2)+(−52)]
= 12×(−92)
= −94
And, a rational number lying between −52 and -3 is
12((−52)+(−3))
12×(−112)
−114
Thus, we have −2>−94>−52>−114>3
Hence, three rational numbers between -2 and -3 are −94,−52 and −114
