From equation 1, x=7-y........3 Substituting 3 in 2, 2(7-y)- 3y=11 14-2y-3y=11 -5y=11-14 -5y= -3 y=5/3 Substituting the value of y in equation 1, x+5/3=7 Taking LCM, 3x+ 5 ----------- =7 3 3x+5=7*3 3x+5=21 3x=21-5 X=16/3
