Let assume that 2+√3 be rational 2+√3=a/b where (b is not equal to 0) and a ,b are co-prime no. √3=a/b-2 so √3= a-2b/b is rational but it is given that √3 is irrational.Thus it arrive at a contradiction.Hence 2+√3 is irrational.

Let assume 2+√3 be rational 2+√3=p/q where(q is not equal to zero and p, q are co-prime number √3= p/q -2 So our assuming is wrong This is contradiction.
