=4x+9y=1/2 .....(1) = 12x+12y=1 =} 12(x+y)=1 =} x+y=1 =} x=1-y .....(2) By putting eq. (2) in (1) :- 4(1-y)+9y=1/2 =} y = -7/10 = x = 1-y =} x= 17/10
