Summary of "A triumph of surgery"

This is a story about a very rich lady Mrs. Pumphery and her pet dog Tricky. The lady loves him so much and always overfeds him. She gives him cakes and chocolates to eat. As a result, Tricky grews too fat to walk. A vet doctor named herriot suggests the woman to give less food to the dog and also suggested to take him on a walk daily. She didn't followed the advise and one day tricky fell ill. He stopped eating and vomited regularly. The lady then called that vet doctor. The doctor takes tricky with him and gives him no food but only water for fifteen days. Very soon tricki started losing extra fat and became healthy once again. When after some time the lady came to take his pet back with her, she was so happy to see her dog fit and fine. She thanks the doctor and says that it was a triumph of surgery.
