How did they participate ( Sub heading ) 1. Large scale of women participate in Gandhiji's salt March 2. They participate in protest marches, manufactured salt and pickets foreign cloth and liquor shops 3. Many went to jail Who participated ( sub heading) 1. (1)-During Gandhi Ji's salt March, thousands of women came out of their homes to listen to him.They participated in protest marches , manufactured salt , and picketed foreign cloth and liquor shops. (2)-Many went to jail. (3)-In urban areas these women were from high-caste families; in rural areas they came from rich peasant households. (4)-Moved by Gandhi Ji's call ,they began to see service to the nation as a scared duty of women. (5)-Gandhiji was convinced that it was the duty of women to look after home and hearth , be good mothers and good wives .
