Karyokinesis means the division of nucleus ..it is divided into four sub parts of mitosis , namely,, 1prophase 2 metaphase 3 anaphase 4 telophase. But cytokinesis means the division of cytoplasm after karyokinesis into two parts...it happens different in plant and animal... In animal appearance of furrow in the cytoplasm of the cell that deepens gradually and join to divide the cytoplasm.. In plants the formation of cell plate occurs which represents the middle lamella that grows from the centre and outward and meet the lateral wall of cell wall...
