x² + 6x + 9 = 0.

Put x = -3 in the equation
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex}{tex}(-3)^2 + 6(-3) + 9{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}9 - 18 + 9 =0{/tex}
Hence, it is a solution of the given equation.
