Using mirror formula 1 v + 1 u = 1 f 1v+1u=1f For plane mirror f = ∞ Hence 1 v + 1 u = 0 1v+1u=0 So, v = -u It means the image is at equal distance and in opposite side of object. This is the true condition in image formation through plane mirror. Hence spherical mirror formula holds equally to a plane mirror
