Let us take x as the another number, so the positive number is 5x
According to the question,
5x+21=2(x+21)
= 5x+21= 2x +42
= 5x-2= 42-21(transposing)
= 3x= 21
= x= 21/3
= x=7
Now, the another number =x = 7
The Positive number = 5x= 5×7=35
Thus, the numbers are 7 and 35
