Let us take x as the another number, so the positive number is 5x. According to the question, 5x+21=2(x+21), 5x+21= 2x +42, =5x-2= 42-21(transposing), 3x= 21 = x= 21/3, x=7 Now, the another number =x = 7. The Positive number = 5x= 5×7=35 Thus, the numbers are 7 and 35.
