Due to the scattering of blue light. The distant of earth from pole is shorter to comparsion from equator. And also the blue and violent light scatter most that's why the sky appears blue in daytime...

The sunlight that reaches the earth's atmosphere is scattered in all directions by the gases and dust particles present in the atmosphere So blue light is scattered in all directions by the tiny molecules of air in Earth's atmosphere. This is the reason sky appears blue.
