T= either force (qE) × perpendicular distance (2l)
therefore ,T= qE×2l
We know that dipole moment (P)= perpendicular distance (2l) × charge (q)
means P=2l×q
So T= qE×2l =PE = P perpendicular E
Hence T= PE sin theeta
