    1/x + 1/y = 2 (equation-1) 1/x - 1/y = 1 × 0/2 = 1/x - 1/y = 1*0 = 0 1/x - 1/y = 0 (equation-2) Adding equation-1 with equation-2, we get 1/x + 1/x + 1/y - 1/y = 2 + 0 2/x = 2 By cross-multiplication, we get X = 1 Substituting the value of x in equation-1, we get 1 + 1/y = 2 1/y = 1 Y = 1 The value of x+y is 2.
