Max was a secret agent, who came for secret papers on missiles. Ausable outwitted him by making a false story about the balcony. Max tried to escape through it and died.

The ausable had outwit Max by making two false stories. Firstly, about the balcony. The ausable stated that there was a balcony outside the window. Secondly, about the arriving of police for the extra protection of the documents. Max had believed the ausable's words and finally jumped out the window, expecting there to be a balcony, at the knock at the door. He finally died and a shrill noise of his voice could be heard.
