The following are the two reasons in support of the given statement:

1. Democracy presents for a government based on the acquiescence of the people. Therefore, all the decision must be taken by the democratically elected government and not by any other person or organization.

2. If the elected representatives or government gives the power of decision-making to others it may result in the conclusion of democracy. We can take the example of Pakistan, where the Military under the command of Parvez Musharraf has taken over the government. Though the people of Pakistan formally elect the parliament and government the power lie in the hands of the military.
