-2 is the root of the equation , so x=-2 Putting the value of x in equation 3(-2)²- 5 (-2) +2k 12 +10 +2k=0 2k+22 =0 2k= -22 K= -11 Hence the value of k is - 11.

Given equation is 3x² -2kx +5 = 0 and x=2 So, 3(2)²-2k(2)+5=0 >3(4)-4k+5=0 >12-4k+5=0 >17-4k=0 >-4k=-17 >4k=17 >k=17/4
