Ohm's law states that the voltage or potential difference between two points is directly proportional to the current or electricity passing through the resistance, and directly proportional to the resistance of the circuit. The formula for Ohm's law is V=IR.

In 1827, The German scientist George Simon Ohm gave a relationship between potential difference and electric current.Ohm's law states that the potential difference across the uniform cross section area of a wire is directly proportional to flow of charges through its cross section area, provided that the temperature remains constant.
