Soil erosion is displacement of upper layer of soil.
There are three main different types of soil erosion :-
1. Wind erosion: Wind erosion is removal of soil particle by the forces of kinetic energy of wind.
2. Water erosion: Water erosion is caused by the kinetic energy of rain falling of the soil surface and by the mechanical force of rainoff.
3. Gravity erosion: Mass movement of soil occur on step slop under the influence of gravity. The process involves the transfer of slop-forming materials from higher to lower ground due to self weight.
