The remainder when p(x) is divided by (x−a) is p(a)

Geven that,

p(x) = x− 3x+ 2x + 5

Divisor = (x − 1)

So, Remainder = p(1)

= (1)4 − 3(1)+ 2(1) + 5

= 1 − 3 + 2 + 5

= 5
