This follows the 10% rule. According to only 10% of the energy is transfered from one trophic level to the other. Therefore, producer is accounted for 5000J, herbivores-500J, carnivore-50J and the top carnivore with 5J of energy.

When sun produces 50,000J of energy, the producer can trap only 1% energy of sunlight, so producer has
500 J of energy. The other members of the food chain get 10% of energy from the previous trophic level. So, herbivores get 50 J, carnivores get 5J and top carnivores get 0.5J of energy.
