A concave mirror is also calleda converging mirror because due to it's reflecting surface which is bulged inwards when we reflect light on it all the reflected rays converge at a point forming an image.

A concave mirror due to its shape converges all the rays of light that fall on it at a single point i.e focus. Since all the rays are converged at a single pint it is called a converging mirror
