A chemical substance which have a sour taste and change the colour of blue litmus to red. Example- HCL(hydrochloric acid)

Acids are substances which have pH of less than 7. They are generally sour in taste. They release H3O+ ions in water H3O+ ion is also called as H+(aq) ion. Ex- HCl , H2SO4 , H2SO3 , etc.

Acids have generally sour taste. Acid dissolve in water to realise H+ ions . Acid turn blue litmus paper red ,phenopathalein colourless and give red color with methyl orange. Acids are generally corrosive in nature.
