Reflection:-The phenomenon of bouncing back of ray of light when it is incident on the polished surface is called reflection.

REFLECTION = phenomenon of bouncing back of light to the same medium after striking a surface. Occurs in mirrors. REFRACTION = phenomenon of bending of light rays on moving obliquely from one medium to another of different optical densities. Occurs in lenses.
