Salts formed on neutralisation reaction between a strong acid and weak base is always ACIDIC in nature ie, pH = 0 - 7. Salt formed on neutralisation reaction between a strong acid and a strong base is NEUTRAL in nature ie, pH = around 7. Salt formed on neutralisation reaction between a weak acid and a strong base is BASIC in nature ie, pH = 7 - 14.
