Food is transport in plant through the process of translocation. The two sources of transferring food in plants are phloem and xylem .phloem transport food product which make plants itself in every part of the plants and xylem transports water and mineral to the every part of the plants.

Through an active process known as translocation. TRANSLOCATION is the process by which the soluble products of photosynthesis are bidirectionally transported to all parts of the plant. It requires energy. When energy is supplied to the phloem tissue, it becomes an area of higher concentration. This ensures that the soluble food reach areas of low concentration (where there is acute need for food) through simple diffusion from phloem tissue.
