First multiply eq 1 by 10 i.e 50x - 80y = 110 And eq2 by 5 i.e -50x + 30y =-110 Now 50x - 80y = 110 -50x+30y = -110 ------------------ 0x -50y = 0 ------------------- -50y = 0 Y =0 For x put the value of y in eq -1 50x-80×0 = 110 50x=110 X=110/50 X= 2.2
