Bases that are highly soluble in water are called ALKALIS. They are usually STRONG and HIGHLY CORROSIVE in nature as they dissociate completely into OH- (aq) ions when in aqueous solutions when compared to other bases. They are usually formed out of highly reactive metal radicals like Na+, K+, Li+, etc. Eg :- NaOH, KOH, etc.
