(i) (1 - sin A)(1 + sin A) / (1 - cos A )(1 + cos A) = 1 - sin^2 A / 1 - cos^2 A = cos^2 A / sin ^2 A = cot^2 A = (7/8)^2 = 49/64. (ii) cot^2 A = 49/64.
