If α and β are the zeroes of the polynomial p(x) = 4x^2 + 4x - 1, then :- α + β = -b / a = -4 / 4 = -1 and αβ = c / a = 1 / 4. .•. 1 / α + 1 / β = α + β / αβ = -1 / (1/4) = -4//
