Yes repiration is an exothermic reaction. Energy is required to support life .Energy in our body is obtained from the foo we eat .During digestion large molecules of food are broken down into simpler substance such as glucose. Glucose combines with O2 to provide energy.

Yes. Respiration is an exothermic reaction. During the process, glucose is broken down in presence or absence of oxygen to liberate energy. The energy released is stored in the form of ATP in cells.
